Vampire Survivors launches on PlayStation this month

Despite being a single developer Poncle has created a magnificent video game that has defined its own genre. Vampire Survivors is not the only game that lets you fight against hordes of monsters while auto-shooting and collecting a variety of weapon upgrades, but it's the first one that has caught the eye of so many players. Pixel art graphics, high replayability, endless weapon combinations that you can upgrade to create unique builds, and a plethora of enemies that charge at you in waves are the highlights of an indie video game that has surpassed all boundaries.

Vampire Survivors is so popular, that many other similar games have been created building on similar mechanics. Titles like Death Must Die, Deep Rock Galactic Survivor, Brotato, or Soulstone Survivors offer a similar gameplay experience enhanced with little changes that make them different enough, but they all follow the same premises.

On PlayStation too

Vampire Survivors has now successfully expanded to several platforms despite only being available on Windows, Xbox, and mobile devices when it was released in 2022. A Nintendo Switch version was released last year and now it's about to be released for PlayStation consoles. Poncle already revealed this fact earlier this year, but it's not until now that we have an official release date for Vampire Survivors on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The game will be playable on Sony's consoles starting on August 29.
