Ubisoft shows Immortals: Fenyx Rising for the first time

The name Immortals: Fenyx Rising might not sound familiar to you but if we tell you that it's the new title of the video game previously announced by Ubisoft as Gods & Monsters there is a much better chance of you knowing what we are talking about. We don't know the reasons behind the change since we think that the old name is in line with what the game is about but to each his own. The thing that really matters is that we could finally see how Immortals: Fenyx Rising looks in a new video that was shown at the latest Ubisoft Forward, which took place yesterday. The video showcases the first footage of the game in which we can see the protagonist using his godly powers to fight against epic monsters.

Immortals: Fenyx Rising takes inspiration from Greek mythology and it follows the story of Fenyx, a greek warrior that is the only one that can save the Gods form the wrath of Typhon, the most powerful of the Titans. Immortals: Fenyx Rising is an open-world adventure that reminds of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in many aspects but it's a completely different game. As Fenyx progresses through the game, she will be able to explore an expansive map that is full of enemies, puzzles, and challenges. She will have to make use of her combat skills and godly powers to overcome all those obstacles and defeat Typhon's minions. She will also be able to gain new powers and legendary equipment that she can improve it to become more powerful.

All of those gameplay features and more have been revealed in a second video that was shown yesterday too, and that gives us quite a good overview of what Immortals: Fenyx Rising has to offer.

The release of Immortals: Fenyx Rising is scheduled for December 3. It will be available on PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Uplay and Epic Games Store.
