Released in August 2018 on PC, Two Point Hospital received at launch a warm welcome from the players. The challenge for Two Point Studios to develop a worthy successor at Theme Hospital was quite significant, as the original 1997 game had won over the players. The formula remains the same twenty years later, offering a hospital simulation game with this rather zany humor that made a success of the first opus, all brought up to date.
But for now, only PC players can enjoy Two Point Hospital. Although the studio announced a release on consoles, no release date has been revealed so far, just a launch window for the end of 2019. But it seems that we will have to wait a little longer. Two Point Studios published a press release about this last month on its website, announcing the postponement of the console versions until the first half of 2020. Nothing is certain yet about the PS4 and Nintendo Switch versions, but the release date on Xbox One has been revealed. Indeed, the game page on the Microsoft Store has been updated and now displays February 24, 2020 as the release date. Given the recent statements of the studio, there is little chance that the PS4 and Nintendo Switch versions will launch on the same date, but they should be out by the summer of 2020 if no new delays happen.
