The Lords of the Fallen reboot announced

With the E3 missing in action, Gamescom has gained relevance as one of the most important video game events of the year. We expect to see plenty of announcements this year but also plenty of surprises. In that line, Hexworks caught us completely offside during the opening ceremony with the announcement of the reboot of Lords of the Fallen, the cult RPG from CI Games that was released in 2014. The announcement was made via a spectacular cinematic trailer that takes us back to the world ravaged by war where the original Lords of the Fallen takes place.

In Lords of the Fallen, the protagonist, Harkyn, is an unstoppable force that has to stop a demonic invasion. Non-linear gameplay and a thrilling storyline that spans several chapters are accompanied by a very detailed action-based combat system that reminisces the Souls series, making the game worthy of a spot in any video game library.

The Lords of the Fallen will bring a completely new story that takes place a thousand years after the events of the original game, and it will be significantly larger than its predecessor. The story will focus on the fight against Adyr, the demon God. It will also feature cooperative gameplay for up to two players, so you will be able to explore the world accompanied by a friend.

The new The Lords of the Fallen is one of the year's big announcements, and we can't wait to know more about it. The developer has promised a full gameplay reveal that should arrive before the year ends. We will be able to better form an opinion about the game then.
