The development of Stalker 2 has resumed

After the pandemic, another event that is having a negative impact on video games eagerly awaited by the players is the war in Ukraine. The military conflict has forced many studios to stop their work, and the most notable one is GSC Game World, the creators of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. The sequel to STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl has been on the wanted list of many players for quite a long time, and when its development seemed to be progressing towards an upcoming release, the war did halt it in its tracks. Although the conflict seems to be far from ending anytime soon, the studio has found a way to resume the development of the game, and that's great news for those wanting to play it.

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl will take players back to Chornobyl's Exclusion Area, also known as the Zone, in an immersive first-person shooting experience that combines action and horror. It will feature a non-linear storyline where your actions will determine the future of the Zone, as it has become the objective of many factions that want to destroy it by any means.

The release of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl was scheduled for December after a postponement that took place after GSC Game World scrapped its plan to add NFT to the game. Forced by a huge backlash from the community, the developer decided to focus on polishing the game rather than experimenting with a feature that would get the fans upset.

It's quite likely that the game won't be ready in December, and we may see another launch date announced in the coming months. In any case, you can always find the best price to buy Starker 2: Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl cheap on our comparator.
