The Callisto Protocol is one of the most anticipated games that will launch in the coming months, especially among fans of the horror genre. The guys at Striking Distance Studios have put a lot of effort into creating a unique experience under the leadership of Glen Schofield, who has a wide experience in the genre since he is the creator of Dead Space. The Callisto Protocol will put us once more in a life-or-death situation under strange circumstances in a sci-fi setting. the game will take us to the Black Iron Prison colony on Jupiter's moon. In the role of the inmate Jacob Lee, you will find yourself in the middle of an alien invasion that threatens all life in the colony. Surviving and finding out what's behind the events will be quite an exciting experience.
Although The Callisto Protocol was initially tied to the PUBG universe, the game has changed during development and it's now a standalone story that has very little to do with the Battle Royale. The game has survival horror as its core and it's not for the faint of heart, as shown in some of the footage revealed so far, which contains quite gruesome deaths. That's definitely something you would expect from the creator of a game like Dead Space, where you have to literally dismember your enemies to put an end to them.
The recent reveal of a Dead Space remake has not diminished the expectation for The Callisto Protocol. There's a huge community waiting to see what Schofield has to offer in his new game, and it won't be that long until that happens. The release of the game is scheduled for December 2, and it turns out that the development process is finished already so there shouldn´t be any delays. Striking Distance Studios has confirmed that The Callisto Protocol has gone gold and it's now ready for mass production ahead of the upcoming release.
