Take a look at the new mechanics in Monster Hunter Wilds

The Monster Hunter series has a sizeable fan base that has grown quite a bit in the last few years. Although it was originally available on PlayStation consoles only, the series has now expanded to other platforms. The release of Monster Hunter: World and its expansion Iceborne on PC contributed to making the series much bigger. Also, Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter Stories added new gameplay mechanics and a different perspective to the series, consolidating its popularity. Now, the fans are eagerly waiting for Monster Hunter Wilds, a new take on the series whose release is scheduled for next year.

Discovering its mechanics

Developer Capcom considers Monster Hunter as one of its flagships and it's putting a lot of effort into making Monster Hunter Wilds a game that the fans will love. The new installment in the series will introduce brand new gameplay mechanics and exciting additions and Capcom has released several videos showcasing some of them.

The first video delves into the game's basic mechanics and offers an overview of the common things you can do in Monster Hunter Wilds while revealing the game's amazing graphics and animations.

A second video showcases the Focus mode, a brand new combat mode that allows players to identify and attack specific weak points and wounded areas on the enemy monsters to cause increased damage.

The last video is all about one of the main weapons that you can wield in Monter Hunter Wilds: the greatsword. This massive sword is slow but it's capable of delivering lethal blows. You can effectively use it in a variety of ways, including hit-and-run attacks or even defensively.

With these videos, Capcom confirms that Monster Hunter Wilds is an ambitious project that aims to bring the series to the next level. Unfortunately, no official release date for the game has been announced yet. We hope that the Japanese developer reveals it soon.
