Stellar Blade's newest update adds even more outfits to the game

Despite facing various controversies, Stellar Blade has achieved remarkable success, surpassing everyone's expectations. The complaints about changes in character costumes have not stopped Stellar Blade, which has even managed to outsold Dragon's Dogma 2, becoming the best-selling game in Japan at the moment. This is a significant achievement for Shift Up, as it is their first game released on a console platform.

Shift Up have announced a new 1.003 update for Stellar Blade, which will introduce several new content additions:

According to their PlayStation Blog, first, you will have access to a new Boss Challenge mode. This mode will pit you against 19 bosses you encountered in the original game, allowing players to adjust the difficulty using a slider to increase the challenge after completing the game's storyline. Battle data will also be recorded for comparison with friends.

If you manage to defeat all the bosses in this mode on Normal difficulty or higher, you will receive a brand-new Neurolink outfit. The update also introduces two additional outfits to the game: White Kunoichi and Black Kunoichi, which you can preview on the PlayStation Blog.

Stellar Blade will also receive several gameplay improvements in this update, including:

  • Added an option to always show the compass in the HUD.
  • Added an auto-lock-on option when exiting ranged mode.
  • Slightly increased the time limit for puzzles.
  • Many more balance, controls improvements,...

This update is available right now PS5. Currently, Stellar Blade has a Metascore of 81 and a user score of 9.2 on Metacritic, cementing its reputation in the gaming industry.
