STALKER 2 leaves behind 2022 with a new video

A huge legion of fans should already be playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, but the development of the game was paralyzed for a long while due to well-known reasons. With a slight change in the title of the game, a lot of effort from the studio creating the game, and some important losses later, GSC Game World maintains a launch window for 2023, which is more than praiseworthy considering the circumstances. We didn't expect much news about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl this year, but the studio has surprised us gratefully with a new trailer that shows the game and sheds more light on its storyline. You can watch it below courtesy of IGN.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is a post-apocalyptic first-person shooter that takes you to the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, a devastated place full of mutated creatures, strange anomalies, and terrible secrets. The story in the game follows a non-linear plot that sends you to the heart of this nightmarish place.

Although the video shows very little of the story, its contents are intriguing enough to leave all the fans wanting more. It also reveals some bits of frantic gameplay that look great, as well as several weapons, accessories, and scenarios that we will find in the game.

Even though the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is scheduled for 2023, it's unclear if the Ukranian studio will be able to complete its development in time. In any case, the trailer brings hope to all the fans and clearly states that they intend to launch the game no matter what. It will release on PC and Xbox Series X/S consoles, and you can buy your S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl code already with our comparator.
