Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive are excited to celebrate the release of the new “Trygon” update for their blockbuster third-person action game Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. Available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC right now, the “Trygon” update comes with a new PvE mission, a new weapon, two cosmetic DLCs, a host of quality-of-life improvements, and more.
Drop back to windswept Avarax for a new assignment to rescue an Adeptus Mechanicus tech-priest from a facility deep within Tyranid territory and take on the mighty Trygon in Space Marine 2’s ninth PvE Operation. This terrifying, towering new boss specialises in guerrilla tactics and is renowned for its ability to burrow below defence lines and harass its prey no matter how safe they think they are.
Free for all players, this new mission is also the perfect occasion to try out a fiery new secondary weapon: the Inferno Pistol. The Inferno Pistol debuts as a powerful, lightweight weapon available in both PvE and PvP modes. It's accessible to Assault, Vanguard, Sniper, and Heavy classes, offering a significant boost in firepower.
These come in addition to a range of quality of life updates and improvements available to all players, like the introduction of Prestige Ranks and Prestige Rewards; a rework of many weapon perks; the ability to change the colour of cloth, tabards and hoods across all classes; as well as the much-requested Custom PvP lobbies, letting you match in groups of up to 12 players for fully customisable Eternal War games.
For the Seasons pass owner, there are two news cosmetic packs also available in this update: Space Wolves Chapter Pack which features unique armor sets, weapon skins for Bolt Carbine, Chainsword, and Thunder Hammer, and heraldry representing the 12 Great Companies and Imperial Fists Champions Pack which includes a new Tactical Champion and a Plasma Incinerator skin.
