Sanctuary is brought to life in Diablo 4's latest video

The Diablo series has made us accustomed to thrilling stories accompanied by lots of action with gameplay that can become especially hectic during the endgame. But there is much more than that in Diablo games. One aspect of the franchise that sometimes gets overlooked is the setting. The world of Sanctuary has changed a lot since the first Diablo was released, and we have visited many locations beyond the original village in the first game. But Diablo 4 is going one step further.

A world more obscure

Not only is Diablo 4 set in a world that is darker. The new style in the graphics of the game perfectly matches a more oppressive and gloomier atmosphere, with new environments that take immersion to an unprecedented level in the series. You can learn about the changes that Sanctuary has undergone during the creation of the game in a developer-commented trailer recently published by Blizzard.

Keep in mind that Diablo 4 will take a totally different approach to gameplay, with an open world that you can explore as you please. Therefore, the world itself gains significance as an element that will greatly contribute to deepening your level of immersion in Diablo 4, especially the first time you play the game. Open-world multiplayer will also provide entertainment to a different type of player, as it opens up plenty of possibilities when it comes to interaction beyond running through a randomized dungeon in a group over and over.

We can't wait to give Diablo 4 a try. As a reminder, there's a Diablo 4 open beta scheduled for next month, and you can use our comparator to check out the best deals on Diablo 4 codes ahead of the release of the game in June.
