Overwatch is coming next month to Nintendo Switch

It will be announced during the Nintendo Direct today, but a series of leaks that have been appearing in the last couple of days already confirm that Blizzard Entertainment's FPS will be available next month on Nintendo's hybrid console. It seems that keeping a secret is rather difficult when people are eager to sell their products and this time we have seen an Overwatch-themed case for Nintendo Switch on Amazon as well as other sources from several video games-related news sites that point to the game launching on October 18th in Europe.

Overwatch was launched in 2016 and since then it's been playable on all platforms but Nintendo Switch. Blizzard's Jeff Kaplan addressed the possibility of the game coming to Nintendo Switch back in 2017 but it has taken a while to finish the port. Now all Nintendo fans will be able to take part in thrilling PvP matches across different arenas in Overwatch.

This new version of Overwatch for Nintendo Switch may include some extras or even a special event may be held when it releases, but we won't know a thing about all that until tonight. On the other hand, we can expect that Overwatch will include everything that has been released on other platforms, with all the 31 heroes in the roster being available to play, including the recently released Sigma.

Today's Nintendo Direct will start tonight at 12 am CEST and it will showcase various announcements regarding what's going to happen with Nintendo Switch and its games in the following months. You can watch it below when the time comes but don't worry if you miss it because we will keep you updated with any relevant information in DLCompare's news blog, as usual.
