Outward will have a Definitive Edition

Outward will have a Definitive Edition

Outward is one of those survival games that does not leave you indifferent. This open-world RPG puts you in the shoes of a man that has to fight against all odds to cancel a debt inherited from his ancestors. A shipwreck has been a major setback for your family business, but having miraculously survived, you have to do anything it takes to pay off the debt before your family holdings are seized. The game tells the story of how you get free of that debt, but that is just the excuse to allow you to explore a sprawling fantasy world with total freedom.

In Outward, you start with very basic skills and no equipment and can become a full-fledged adventurer as you progress through the game. Improving your knowledge of the world and learning and honing new skills is the base of your survival in a world full of dangers. Outward emphasizes the freedom of choice. You can develop your character and tackle any challenge however you see fit. The game features a Souls-like combat system that allows you to face your enemies with a variety of spells and weapons, each of them with different capabilities. The base game is huge, but developer Nine Dots studio has expanded it with two DLCs that add more factions, new weapons, magic, quest lines, and gameplay systems, making it a really epic adventure.

Outward Definitive Edition

Nine Dots is not launching a new DLC, but it has announced Outward Definitive Edition, which will include the base game, The Soroboreans and The Three Brothers expansions, and "completely new additions." These novelties include an exhaustive list of quality of life changes along with a difficulty increase for many encounters in the game. Overall, they will improve the gameplay experience, especially for those that love big challenges.

If you are yet to discover the world of Outward, you can find it at the best price on our comparator already, but it would be better to wait until May 17th to get your Outward Definitive Edition cheap. In fact, you won't even need to buy the new edition if you own Outward and The Three Brothers DLC, as you will get it for free.
