Capcom is betting big on Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. They are so eager to let the people try all the novelties that the first expansion for Monster Hunter World is bringing to the game that they are launching an official beta today that will let you experience all that it has to offer. You could think that this is nothing new, but the truth is that quite unexpectedly the beta can be accessed by all players on PlayStation 4; and when we say all players, we really mean it, because you don´t even need to own the base game to be able to play Iceborne beta.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne will take you to the new territory of Hoarfrost Reach, where you will explore frozen lands in search of new monsters to hunt. The expansion also introduces a variety of changes that include new partners, mechanics to deal with the cold and unforgiving weather, and new weapons, of course. You can take a tour with the Handler to discover everything about Iceborne just by watching a recently published video.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne beta will let you explore the training area around Seliana, the Commission's headquarters in Hoarfrost Reach. You will be allowed to participate in three different quest, each of them with a progressively harder difficulty. Hunting a Great Jagras will be a good starting point for beginners, and once you are done with that you should be experienced enough to take on the Banbaro, an aggressive horned wyvern. The most difficult test for the players will be tracking and hunting the deadly Tigrex. All 14 weapon types will be available for you, so you can try them until you find the one that best suits your playstyle.
The beta has already started and it will be up until Monday, July 1. Have fun playing Monster Hunter World: Iceborne through the weekend!
