Monster Hunter series has kept players quite busy during the last year, especially since the Iceborne expansion for Monster Hunter: World was made available on all platforms. Capcom managed to put the game at the same level on consoles and PC. But not everyone has had the opportunity of hunting huge predators in the fantasy world of Monster Hunter, since the latest installments in the series have not been released on Nintendo Switch. Thankfully, that problem is about to be solved, since Nintendo's platform will be the only one that will allow you to play Monster Hunter Rise.
We could discover a bit more about the new title from Capcom in a livestream that took place yesterday. The video showed some of the new and spectacular monsters that you will be your preys in Monster Hunter Rise, including the Gross Harag, the Barioth, and the Khezu. All of them inhabit the icy region of the Frost Islands, which is one of the locations that you will be able to explore in the game. The video also reveals a very interesting feature in Monster Hunter Rise. Wyvern Riding will let you use gigantic monsters as a mount and in combat. You will control them by using your silk and command them in battle, also using their special attacks and movement capabilities. Capcom also published a tutorial video where every detail about Wyvern Riding in Monster Hunter Rise is explained.
As you can see, Monster Hunter Rise is bringing a lot of novelties to the series. You can now try them by yourself by playing a free demo that will be available today on Nintendo Eshop. It gives you access to a few quests and it's the best way to delve into the world of Monster Hunter Rise and discover some of its mechanics. The full game is due for release on March 26, only for Nintendo Switch.
