Microsoft Flight Simulator goes VR this month

There are things more important than action, thrill, or a good story when it comes to simulation games. The value of realism surpasses those other factors by a huge margin in most cases, and everyone knows that Microsoft Flight Simulator is the best of the best when it comes to offering exactly that. Not only it offers you an incredibly detailed view with very responsive controls that will allow you to fly whatever plane you are piloting, but it also features the most realistic representation of the world that surrounds you. The experience is really amazing, and it's the main reason that the series continues to be one of the favorites of the fans of this type of game. With a wide selection of planes to fly and destinations all over the world, Microsoft Flight Simulator is probably the best when it comes to delivering a realistic flying experience, and it's about to get even better for some people.

Developer Asobo has confirmed that Microsoft Flight Simulator will receive VR support on December 22. The new feature will be added via a free update which allows you to play the game using any of the major VR headsets, including Oculus Rift, Valve, and more. The VR aspect of Microsoft Flight Simulator will cover gameplay but also the in-game menu, so you won't need to leave that mode to navigate through them and arrange whatever options you prefer.

This update will arrive ahead of another one that will be landing in January, and that will use aerial images of the United Kingdom to introduce an even more detailed and real depiction of the territory and its landmarks in the game.
