Marvel’s Midnight Suns showcases Spider-man and release date

A flurry of Marvel’s Midnight Suns news hit this week as we close in on the second half of 2022. Firstly, the game releases on October 7. Second, a new trailer confirms rumors Spider-man as a playable character—and he’s just one of the fresh faces we can expect to see. Check out the trailer, which debuted during the Summer Games Fest Showcase:

From the trailer, it seems Lilith has allies of her own, counting the corrupted “Fallen” versions of Scarlet Witch, Venom, Sabretooth, and Hulk. Any of these villains showing up alone is already bad news, but fighting them together empowered by the Mother of Demons definitely raises the stakes!

Firaxis’s Marvel’s Midnight Suns is a tactical game in the vein of XCOM, but also includes a card system that dictates are character’s actions during combat. It also features a relationship system where your character, the Hunter, can build up rapport and corresponding benefits with other Marvel characters (sadly, no romance). You will meet and interact with famous superheroes like Wolverine, Dr. Strange, Blade, Ghost Rider, Iron Man, Captain Marvel, and with this new trailer, Spider-man as well. Hopefully, you’ll also be able to rescue the Fallen characters and include them in your roster.

Firaxis’s Creative Director Jake Solomon has this to say:

“We know fans have been eager to see what’s coming next for Marvel’s Midnight Suns. We’re honored by the opportunity to introduce so many new heroes and villains to Marvel fans and can’t wait for tactics players to discover the joys of fighting like a Super Hero in Marvel’s Midnight Suns!”

On October 7, we can expect to see Midnight Suns release for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. A Nintendo Switch version is planned for a later date. Get a Marvel’s Midnight Suns PS5 key from our comparator at the best prices.
