Life is Strange Remastered Collection has been delayed

It's been over six years since the first installment of the Life is Strange series, created by Dontnod, was released. Life is Strange was a real turning point for the studio, which had almost disappeared after the commercial failure of its first game, Remember Me, although the game received good reviews. But Dontnod drew the best from this first experience to release Life Is Strange a few years later, a game that stood out because of its powerful narrative dimension, making it almost an interactive film.

This time, the game was a success, and it was followed by a sequel, Life is Strange 2, and a prequel, Before the Storm, which Deck Nine developed. The series will soon welcome True Colors, also developed by Deck Nine. But the next installment isn't the only novelty coming to the franchise. Indeed, Life is Strange Remastered Collection, which includes the first game and Before the Storm, was to be released on September 30, but the developer has just announced that this will not be the case via the following statement:

Hello, Life is Strange fans!

We have some important updates for you on our upcoming release dates.

After Life is Strange: True Colors releases on September 10, we're happy to announce that the Life is Strange: Wavelengths DLC, starring Steph Gingrich, will release on September 30.  We will be revealing a first look via a new trailer tomorrow!

However, due to the ongoing challenges of the worldwide pandemic, we want to alleviate any additional pressure on the Life is Strange team by giving more time between the release of Life is Strange: True Colors and the Life is Strange Remastered Collection.

For this reason, we have made the difficult decision to delay the release of the Life is Strange: Remastered Collection for all platforms - PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Stadia, and Switch - until Early 2022. We hope you understand.

So we'll have to wait a few more months to enjoy Life is Strange Remastered Collection, but the Wavelengths DLC is staying put. In any case, Life is Strange True Colors will still be available on September 10, and you can find it at the best price on our comparator.
