Koei Tecmo shows Wild Hearts' gameplay

Wild Hearts has generated a lot of interest among the fans of the Monster Hunter series. There's a lot of curiosity about how different it's going to be from Monster Hunter: World and Monster Hunter Rise. Capcom's action role-playing game has a community of fans that is quite large and the popularity of the monster-hunting genre has increased a lot in recent years, especially in the West. This gives Wild Hearts a great opportunity to make a spot for itself, especially if it brings new things to the genre.

The creators of Wild Hearts have experience with action games as they have developed the Dynasty Warrior series. Taking the action to a fantasy version of feudal Japan where gigantic beats known as Kemono roam the land and humans battle them using contraptions known as Karakuri sounds interesting enough to check out the game.

The Golden Tempest

You can now watch five minutes of Wild Hearts gameplay in a new video released by Koei Tecmo. The video shows a spectacular group battle against a gigantic tiger-like monster and reveals several weapons that you will be able to use in the game: the claw blade, the cannon, and the Karakuri staff. Each of them lets you attack your opponent in a different way and you can also use a variety of Karakuri to reposition yourself, set traps for your opponent, and block directional attacks.

Although Wild Hearts seems to share many things with Monster Hunter at first glance, it looks significantly different as you look deeper into it. The release of the game is scheduled for February 17 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, so it won't be that long until you can check out the game by yourself.
