Intel ARC B580 GPU designs are emerging from ASROCK

Two new ASRock ARC B580 GPU models have been spotted on Amazon, with Videocardz being the first to identify these Intel graphics cards. Both models are equipped with 12GB of VRAM and utilize Intel’s new Xe2 “Battlemage” graphics architecture.

The first model is the ARC B580 Steel Legend, which is reported to be overclocked to 2.8 GHz and has dimensions of 15.71x8.43x3.82 inches. This represents a significant clock speed increase compared to Intel's ARC Alchemist series GPUs, as the ARC A770 operates at only 2.1 GHz, making this new model 700 MHz faster. Additionally, this GPU is said to use 19 Gbps GDDR6 memory.

It’s important to note that this new Intel GPU requires two 8-pin PCIe power connectors and does not utilize the 16-pin 12VHPWR or 12V-2×6 power inputs. Intel is opting for established power standards with this generation, which will provide greater compatibility with power supply units.

The second variant is the Intel Arc B580 Challenger OC, which employs a dual-slot and dual-fan cooling design and has a back cut-out to improve airflow, while featuring just a single 8-pin connector. Notably, both GPUs are designed to work with a 650W power supply. The Challenger OC has dimensions of 14.17x8.54x2.52 inches, and its packaging highlights support for XeSS upscaling along with its XMX AI accelerators. It also mentions the GPU's capabilities for ray tracing.

Intel is expected to unveil their ARC B-series Battlemage GPUs next month. With this GPU generation, Intel aims to offer significantly improved overall performance and enhanced graphics drivers, which will be crucial if the company wants to capture market share from AMD or Nvidia.
