A new free game offer has just appeared on the Epic Games Store, allowing PC gamers to claim a copy of Beyond Blue and Humankind at no cost. This latest deal replaces the Undying giveaway that has been available since last Thursday. As is customary, you have until next Thursday to secure these games for your library permanently.
Beyond Blue, developed by E-Line Media, the same studio behind Never Alone, is a narrative adventure that immerses you in the depths of Earth's oceans. Set in the future, you play as Mirai, a deep-sea scientist and explorer. You will embark on eight dives into the ocean's depths while observing various deep-sea creatures and uncovering hidden secrets.
Inspired by the BBC's Blue Planet II documentary series, the game takes an educational approach to exploring the ocean and its inhabitants. The developers collaborated with BBC Studios, OceanX, and ocean science experts during the game's creation.
Simultaneously, Humankind has been introduced as the second free game in this promotion. Created by Amplitude Studios, known for the Endless series, this is a 4X strategy title similar to the Civilization series in its scope.
As anticipated for a game in this genre, players can select a civilization from several options in the Neolithic Era and guide it through history by building cities, forming alliances with other factions, blending cultures, and engaging in tactical combat to defeat rivals, if everything goes according to plan.
The new giveaways for Beyond Blue and Humankind on the Epic Games Store are now available for Windows. The indie game typically retails for $19.99 when not discounted. This giveaway will conclude on Thursday, February 13, at 8 am PT.
And as always, remember to use our comparison tool to find the best deal for your next favorite game.
