Gears 5: The Coalition Will Punish Ragequit

Gears 5: The Coalition Will Punish Ragequit

In Gears 5, bad losers are going to have a bad time. Released a little over a month ago, Gears 5 has made a pitching launch, best of all for a game Xbox Games Studios on this generation of consoles, but gathering so many players can sometimes have some disadvantages.

While players may have focused on the single-player campaign at first, Gears 5 also offers several multiplayer modes. And as in any multiplayer game, it is not uncommon to suffer some inconveniences caused by other players. And it is the rage that The Coalition has decided to tackle. Indeed, who has never found himself in a tricky situation, or has lost a game because of a bad teammate giving up on the way? It seems that these behaviors will no longer be allowed in Gears 5. The Coalition has revealed in a tweet that heavy penalties will be applied to those who abuse the ragequit

Recidivist players are offered a second chance, but if it's your case, you should keep your rage in check. This decision may seem firm, and it's reflected in the case of a player who was banned for 640 days for leaving parties many times. The penalty is indeed very heavy, but the player in question seems to be a pretty extreme case in terms of ragequitting.

Of course, this is not to everyone's taste, and many players are complaining about the severity with which The Coalition Studio deals with the situation, including the fact of being deprived of a game that one has bought. Since we do not really know what's the limit that one shouldn't break before getting that kind of punishment, we imagine that there has to be a certain level of abuse to get such a severe penalty. In any case, it is better to try and get it under control.
