At Anime Expo 2024, Bandai unexpectedly announced a brand-new Bleach fighting game, Bleach Rebirth of Souls. We were teased with a trailer and a few screenshots of the game, but there was no video showcasing the gameplay to reveal how the game actually plays.
Only recently, Bandai Namco released a comprehensive gameplay trailer for Bleach Rebirth of Souls, giving players a clearer look at the game's mechanics:
The trailer opens with Ichigo facing off against Byakuya in a battle. While it might appear to be just another 3D arena fighting game, Bleach Rebirth of Souls is more complex than it seems. Players will utilize each character's unique "Zankensoki" action to cut down the opponent's Reishi. Upon depleting one gauge of Reishi, the opponent's "Konpaku" will decrease. Victory is achieved only by destroying all 9 of the opponent's "Konpaku" gauges.
Bleach Rebirth of Souls also features several mechanics like Reverse Action and well-timed, precise combos to help players recover from tricky positions. As the fight progresses, characters will be able to use their iconic Bankai to unleash powerful and unique attacks to finish their opponents.
Bleach Rebirth of Souls has a unique approach to combat mechanics and features a distinctive aesthetic.
