It's no secret that even after becoming one of the biggest launches in the story of video games Cyberpunk 2077 is also going to be remembered as one of the most troublesome. The rather poor performance level of the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One has led to a huge wave of complaints and refunds that have left CD Projekt Red in a very difficult position. The company could be facing serious problems due to a couple of lawsuits that have been filed against them and that has made fixing the game a more pressing matter than before. As we explained in a previous article, fixing the game has become a priority for the developers of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and all of their efforts are currently put towards that goal. Of course, that has caused some changes in CDPR's plans for Cyberpunk 2077 after launch, and the content that was supposed to be already available for the game won't arrive until everything is fixed.

After watching CD Projekt Red co-founder Marcin Iwiński publicly apologizing a few days ago, we were expecting that some of the promised fixes would arrive very soon, and it seems that they are not disappointing us on that at least. The first major update for Cyberpunk 2077 is already available on PC and consoles. Patch 1.1 brings a number of changes that focus on stability by improving overall memory usage and fixing crashes. It also adds quite a few bug fixes on different areas of the game that include quests, UI, achievements, visuals, and more. You can find all the details about Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.1 at the following address.
If you are wondering if this update is enough to fix all the problems in Cyberpunk 2077 and turn the game into what it should have been on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the answer is no. But at least it is a step in the right direction and we hope that it's going to be followed by as many as necessary until Cyberpunk 2077 is fixed. We don't know how long it will take or if the damage done to the game's reputation is already too high, but we still believe that Cyberpunk 2077 PC will be a must-have when fixed.
