FIFA 22 will launch in October

The announcement of the yearly installment in the FIFA series has arrived just in time to take advantage of the expectation generated by the final of the UEFA Euro 2020. The first official trailer of FIFA 22 has been revealed this weekend along with some information about the features that all the fans will find in the new game. It's a game designed with next-gen consoles in mind, as it will include several technologies that will only be available to those playing on Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5, but FIFA 22 will surely be the most complete and realistic football simulation on other platforms too.

FIFA 22 will feature the new HyperMotion technology, a system that creates new animations in real time with data gathered from data captured from professional players wearing Xsens motion capture suits, making the game as real as it gets. According to EA Sports, "the resulting unprecedented volume of high-quality real-human movement data powers how both individuals and teams move across FIFA 22". The new game features over 4.000 new animations and a more advanced AI. FIFA 22 will also feature a new goalkeeper system, enhanced ball physics, new attacking tactics, and a brand new Explosive Sprint system among other gameplay novelties, as well as an overhauled Career Mode and the return of Volta Football.

The announcement of FIFA 22 has been accompanied by the reveal of its release date, which may be a bit later than some of us expected. The launch of the game is scheduled for October 1 on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. Of course, FIFA 22 will be the favorite of many football fans this year too, and you will be able to watch the first FIFA 22 gameplay trailer very soon, as it will be revealed as part of the EA Play Sportlight event that will take place on July 20.
