Warhammer 40,000: Darktide has become the game of choice for most fans of Games Workshop's miniature wargame. Not only it delivers an intense experience full of action that follows the steps of Vermintide 2, but it also has a lot of potential for additional content. Developer Fatshark has already stated that there will be more content coming to the game in the form of new maps, classes, and more. But before that, the studio is committed to solving any problems that Warhammer 40,000: Darktide may have right now using the feedback from the players.
Fatshark CEO Martin Wahlund has talked about the imminent future of the game in a recent statement, which also reveals that this extra tuning comes with an unexpected downside.
“Over the next few months, our sole focus is to address the feedback that many of you have. In particular, we will focus on delivering a complete crafting system, a more rewarding progression loop, and continue to work on game stability and performance optimization."
“This also means that we will delay our seasonal content rollout and the Xbox Series X/S launch. We will also suspend the upcoming releases of premium cosmetics. We just couldn’t continue down this path, knowing that we have not addressed many feedback areas in the game today."
There wasn't a release date set for Warhammer 40'000: Darktide on the platform. We only knew that it would launch after the PC version. Those waiting to play the game on Xbox Series X/S know now that they will have to wait a bit longer. The good side of this is that they will get access to a game with even more content and more polished which will even be available on the Game Pass at launch. The bad side of the news is that they are missing lots of thrilling battles in the depths of Tertium.
