Good news for PlayStation 4 players out there! Very soon you’ll be able to use your controllers to sign up for Electronic Arts subscription services. You will now have a library packed with games! Electronic Arts has announced that it’s going to bring its unlimited gaming subscription service EA Access to PlayStation 4 this July. In the past, EA Access has been exclusively available for Xbox One where it originally launched five years ago.
This decision has been planned for a long time as Matt Bibey, EA’s Executive Vice President of Strategic Growth said, "As we continue to invest in digital and subscription services, bringing great games to even more players across more platforms is an exciting opportunity for everyone." He added that it’s their goal to give players more choices to try their games wherever and however they choose. Subscribers of EA Access have unlimited access to all the titles in EA’s vaults including The Sims 4, Star Wars - Battlefront, Battlefield series, and many more. It also gives you a discount of 10% on all digital purchases (season passes, full games, DLC, and Ultimate Team content). Aside from that, members can avail the Play First Trials where you get to have the first-hand experience of the new EA games for up to 10 hours.
The price will be the same across platforms. The EA Access subscription on PS4 will cost $4.99/ £3.99/ AUS$6.99 per month or $29.99/£19.99/ AUS$39.99 annually. Just remember though that your Xbox One account can’t be carried over to the PS4, you will need to sign up for a different subscription for PS4. EA is yet to make an announcement regarding what games exactly will be available for the PS4.
