Dying Light Xbox Series upgrade is available

Dying Light Xbox Series upgrade is available

Not too long ago, we revealed that Techland was offering a pleasant surprise to all the fans of its survival horror games, more specifically those that love Dying Light. The Polish developer launched a free upgrade that enhanced the visuals of the game on PlayStation 5. The update added three different video modes that took advantage of the capabilities of Sony's new console at various degrees, but they all were a nice improvement to the previous version of the game.

The same type of update was supposed to arrive for Xbox Series X/S consoles, but we didn't get a date for its arrival. Well, it's finally here, and all those that own Dying Light can patch the game on Microsoft's consoles to enjoy the enhanced features already. After the patch, Xbox Series X/S players will be able to choose from three different video modes. The Performance mode offers visuals in full HD at 30fps, the Quality mode for graphics in 4K at 30fps, and the Balanced mode for 60fps in QHD resolution.

This free upgrade comes as a nice bonus for all the fans of Dying Light, but it's unlikely that the developer will launch any more additional content for the game. The studio is currently immersed in the creation of post-launch content for Dying Light 2. The new game in the series takes the best features in Dying Light to deliver an experience even more exciting than its predecessor, with improved parkour movements and a new storyline that take the gameplay to a new level.
