Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is set to launch soon, and to prepare players, Capcom has been teasing all the costumes available as DLC for the game. At the moment, these skins can only be obtained by purchasing the Digital Deluxe version of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. This version comes with several costume packs, such as the Resident Evil Villains Pack, Resident Evil Heroes Pack, Mega Man Pack, Willamette Parkview Mall Pack, and Capcom Fighters Pack. Altogether, Capcom had previously confirmed that Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster would receive 17 DLC costumes, and it has been gradually showcasing how they look in-game.
The Willamette Parkview Mall Pack represents the game's own settings and features some of the most classic skins, like War Photographer, Clown, and a Sheriff costume. Each skin comes with new background music. Meanwhile, the Capcom Fighters Pack introduces fan-favorite costumes like Ken Masters, Sodom—a character who originated in Final Fight but became part of the roster starting with Street Fighter Alpha—and even Blodia, a cyberbot fighter featured in games like Street Fighter × All Capcom, although sometimes it's his pilot, Jin Saotome, who takes the spotlight.
The Mega Man Pack brings some of the most unexpected costumes to the game as it adapts spinoff titles from the franchise. The Mega Man costume hails from Mega Man Battle Network, and there's also a skin of Lan Hikari, the human protagonist of those games. The other Mega Man skin is of Tron Bonne, a villain from Mega Man Legends who later starred in her own game, The Misadventures of Tron Bonne.
Finally, the remaining costumes come from the Resident Evil franchise packs. Frank West can dress up as Chris Redfield, Leon S. Kennedy, and, comically, Ashley Graham—but she won't be defenseless this time. On the villains' side, we have Nemesis and Licker so far, but more costumes are expected to be announced over time. All these mentioned costumes also come with background music that references the respective franchise.
Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster was announced on July 1 and has been praised as one of the industry's most meticulous and polished remasters, even worthy of being considered a remake. The game will be released on September 19, 2024, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam.
