Dead Cells sells 10 million and promises more DLC

Developer Motion Twin recently announced that its roguelike Metroidvania masterpiece Dead Cells has surpassed 10 million sales in its lifetime. Reaching that milestone is quite a significant feat for a game created by an indie studio but the action-platformer has managed to catch the eye of many players due to its frantic action and unique visuals.

While the original Dead Cells offered you endless opportunities for adventure with its roguelike mechanics, Motion Twin has continued to expand the game over the years with lots of additional content, including a couple of expansions. The latest one was released this year as a homage to a classic series that serves as an inspiration to create the game:Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania. Fortunately, it won't be the end of Dead Cells

More Dead Cells incoming

If you are a dan of Dead Cells you probably know that Motion Twin has left in the hands of a subsidiary studio the creation of its expansions. Evil Empire has done a great job so far and it has plans to release new content for the game in the future, as revealed in an official statement.

“Following the success of Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania, Evil Empire has been exploring the path forward for the title as a whole. With years of successful updates and expansions behind it after taking over live ops of Dead Cells in 2019, the studio is tinkering with its time-tested methodology, experimenting with ideas for future updates and new ways for fans to enjoy one of their favorite roguelikes.”

No details about the upcoming DLC have been revealed but we should hear about them at the right time. Meanwhile, you can use our comparator to get your Dead Cells PC key at the best price if you are looking for an amazing roguelike experience full of action.
