Dead by Daylight gets ready to launch on next-gen consoles

Developer Behaviour Interactive is quite proud of the work they did with Dead by Daylight and they are not gonna miss the opportunity that the upcoming release of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X gives them to continue improving their game. The studio has announced that they are already working on a version of Dead By Daylight for next-gen consoles but also that they are immersed in the development of what they call The Realm Beyond, a project whose culmination will be a massive overhaul to most aspects of the graphics in the game. You can take a look at what kind of improvements the game will receive in the upcoming months in a recently-published video that compares old graphics to the new ones.

Of course, The Realm Beyond is still in the work and it will be released in the form of updates that will be available for free to everyone that owns Dead by Daylight. Those updates are coming to all platforms, including PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The first one is coming on September 8th and others will follow it through the year. Although you can see that the difference is quite noticeable in the vídeo, it's granted that Dead by Daylight will look much better on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X when they launch.

Nothing has been said about what kind of content the new version of Dead by Daylight will include on next-gen consoles, and it's quite likely that it will be only a port, but Behaviour Interactive has still some time before the new consoles are available to surprise us with some extra features that make their asymmetric survival horror game even better. Escaping from a killer through the dark scenarios and oppressive environments of Dead by Daylight will definitely be more exciting with better graphics, but some gameplay novelties would also be very welcome.
