Cooperative adventure Split Fiction revealed in a new video

The name Hazelight Studios may not ring a bell for you unless you are into cooperative games. However, if sharing the fun with a friend in co-op mode is your cup of tea, you probably have spent plenty of time immersed in It Takes Two. The game offers a unique platformer experience for two players where collaborating with your partner is mandatory if you want to progress. Now, the Swedish studio aims to surprise the fans of its work with a brand new adventure, Split Fiction, which was presented at The Game Awards.

Exciting gameplay reveal

Split Fiction follows the adventures of Mio and Zoe, two popular writers who find themselves trapped inside a simulation of the worlds they write about when they are connected to a machine that attempts to steal their creative ideas. With a sprawling to explore, they will have to collaborate to find a way to escape from the virtual reality they are trapped in. Of course, Hazlelight Studios has created an experience that introduces new and exciting cooperative mechanics, allowing players to share the fun in an epic split-screen adventure. Sci-fi meets fantasy in this unique game that is designed for two players. The developer studio has released a brand new gameplay video showcasing an unparalleled level of action in a variety of scenarios.

 

 

It's worth noticing that Split Fiction is designed exclusively as a cooperative adventure that you can share either online or locally. Another interesting feature of the game is that it includes a Friend Pass so two players can play online with just one of them owning a copy of the game. The release of Split Fiction is scheduled for March 6 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.
