Commandos: Origins reimagines the series and you can try it for free

Commandos is an iconic real-time tactics series that offered players a completely new way to delve into a World War II experience when it was first released. Its original gameplay formula allows players to control a team of operatives during the conflict as they take on challenging covert ops missions through the conflict. With stealth at its core, Commandos games put you in control of several characters, each with unique abilities as you try to complete specific objectives across a variety of scenarios while avoiding being detected. In Commandos games, you can see your enemies' fields of view and have to move and act undetected, removing targets, disguising, distracting guards, and progressing in an experience that is quite difficult but also extremely rewarding.

The Commandos series is back

Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines became a cult game back in the day and it was followed by several other installments due to its popularity, which offered new gameplay scenarios. Both Commandos 2 and Commandos 3 even were remastered later on for an enhanced experience. Now, publisher Kalypso Media is bringing back the series to the front line with Commandos: Origins, a brand-new game that allows players to control the original Commandos team in a new and exciting campaign. Comandos: Origins promises to deliver an experience that is on par with the original titles in the series. You will be able to play Commandos: Origins solo or alongside a friend in cooperative multiplayer mode. The release of the game is scheduled for 2024 although a specific release date has not been revealed yet. It will be playable on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
