Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War won't integrate Warzone until December

The more we know about Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War, the more we want to play it. The upcoming installment in the Black Ops first-person shooting game series will be available next month along with the next-generation consoles but it seems that the release won't happen without a bit of drama. As every Call of Duty player knows, Call of Duty: Warzone has completely changed the way in which the license is approached. The massive influx of players that the free-to-play version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has brought into certain multiplayer modes has had quite an impact in the main game too. Warzone has become very important for the Call of Duty community. Some might say that it's even more important than Modern Warfare right now. That's the main reason why Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War couldn't leave it behind. Integrating all those players in the new game is a must unless the developers want to split the community.

In September, Activision announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War and Warzone would work together. Everyone expected that to happen in just a couple of weeks, when the new game releases on November 13. But it seems that integrating both games is not going to be that easy, and the developers have just announced that Warzone won't interact with Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War until later. Tying both games will be a great way of updating Warzone every year and there are many players eagerly waiting for it to happen. They will be quite disappointed about having to wait a bit longer.

But not everything is going to be bad news. When Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War integrates Warzone in December, you will be able to use all the weapons and operators that you have unlocked in the new game. Any time that you spend playing Cold War, will be definitely quite useful when the new content arrives to Warzone one month later. If you don't plan on purchasing the new game yet, Warzone will continue to be playable on the platforms it is available right now and cross-play will be available. You won't have any problems to keep playing it as you are right now.
