Vampire fans get to savor the resurrection of the BloodRayne franchise. Both BloodRayne: ReVamped and BloodRayne 2: ReVamped are coming out on November 18 for Switch, Xbox One, PS4, and PS5.
Titular half-vampire Rayne is back on the hunt. In the original game, she is pitted against Nazis who are excavating the skull of Beliar in an attempt to gain the devil’s power. In the end, she travels to the center of Germany to take out the division’s leader, Juergen Wulf.
In BloodRayne 2, Rayne is pitted against her father Kagan, and her siblings. This time, Kagan has made an incredible breakthrough: the Shroud, an impenetrable cloud that prevents sunlight from reaching the Earth, thereby allowing vampires to walk in the daytime. With the help of the Brimstone Society, Rayne must fight her way through her father’s army and put him in the dirt once and for all.
The upcoming remastered versions features are as follows:
Originally launched on the Gamecube in the early 2000s, BloodRayne turned heads for its no holds barred approach to violence. Rayne decapitates, dismembers, impales, and splits enemies into two with her twin nightstick blades. She can also heal by draining enemy soldiers of their blood. Her new signature weapons, the Carpathian Dragons, are pistols that use her blood as ammunition.
Coupled with BloodRayne: Betrayal and the upcoming BloodRayne Betrayal: Fresh Bites, there’s plenty of this femme fatale to go around. Check out our best prices for BloodRayne and BloodRayne 2.
