Our 5 most anticipated games of 2018

Do you want to know what games to play in 2018? Just keep reading! The current year is coming to an end and even though a few great titles have been released during the last 12 months, arguably making 2017 one of the best years in games of the past decade, this period is going to be remembered as the year of the launch of the Nintendo Switch and the resurgence of the Japanese company. Not only they have managed to come up with a new idea for a console, but they have also managed to reinstall their flagship franchises (Zelda, Super Mario) at the top of the charts. Outside of Nintendo's land, PUBG has proved that, as long as a game is fun, people don't really care if it's the final version of the game or not to play it massively. Also, Bungie and EA may have realized that the opinion of the players should be heard, at least if you want to maintain your player base and your sales. If locked paywalls, loot boxes and the such are becoming the standard for all the genres in the following years or not is yet to be decided tho. But 2018 also looks promising for the gamers, and we have our own list of recommended titles that will (or at least should) see the light in the following months. It's a small selection, but we really think that they are going to be big hits and that you should keep your eyes open for them. 1. Red Dead Redemption 2. The sequel to Rockstar's western should be hitting the stores in spring 2018, and if it's half as good as its predecessor it will be quite worth the wait.

2. Far Cry 5. The fifth installment of the Far Cry series will take us to Montana to fight against a militaristic doomsday cult. What else could you ask for?

3. God of War. The return of Kratos is one of the most anticipated events of 2018. This time he will be the kickass dad that every child wants to have. You can't really miss it if you have a PlayStation 4.

4. Monster Hunter World. The reimagining of Capcom's Monster Hunter series promises to be more accessible and it will strive to achieve a great success in the western market. You won't have to wait long for it since it's coming up early 2018.

5. Anthem. Bioware's all-new franchise will pop up at the end of the year, and we don't really know yet if it's going to meet the expectations of the public. Multiplayer sci-fi RPG shooter with a great story sounds good on paper. Let's hope it's not too good to be true.
