Mortal Kombat 11 already has an extensive roster of fighters that allows the players to choose from a variety of combat styles, weapons, appearances and of course fatalities. Most of them are characters that are part of the license and the list includes both classic fighters and some newcomers, but there are three exceptions to this rule. First of all, you can play as the Joker, one of the most relevant villains in the DC Comics universe and nemesis of Batman. The second character completely alien to Mortal Kombat's story that you can play in Mortal Kombat 11 is Terminator T800, a character that was introduced to celebrate the release of the latest Terminator film. The third character is no other than the protagonist of a very popular comic series created by Todd McFarlane, Spawn, which just will join the ranks of the fighters available in the game as a DLC very soon, and whose movements and fatality you can watch on the following video.
Spawn used to be Al Simons, a former assassin employed by several governmental agencies which was killed by his own partner during a mission. As a result of his crimes while he was alive he is sent to Hell. But he makes a deal with the devil known as Malebolgia in order to see his wife one more time, and he is sent back to the realm of the living without memories and with a demonic body and extraordinary powers. He will get involved in a secret war between Heaven and Hell, but Malebolgia´s plans to make him command an army of demons are thwarted when Simons decides to follow his own path.
Of course, all of this has absolutely nothing to do with Mortal Kombat 11, but Spawn is a very powerful fighter and a perfect choice for a crossover character. From guns to the chains that he uses as a belt and other demonic powers fueled by necroplasma, Spawn is able to use a wide range of weapons and movements to finish his opponents in the game.
He is the last character included in Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack, which includes a total of 6 fighters: Shang Tsung, Nightwolf, Terminator T-800, Sindel, The Joker, and Spawn. the pack also includes some skins and it lets you access one week earlier to the characters included in it. If you own the Kombat Pack you will be able to play as Spawn on March 17, if you do not have it, you can buy it separately but it won´t be playable for you until March 24 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One. Nintendo Switch, and PC.
