Scorn: the game will perform as well on Xbox Series X as on PC

Revealed for the very first time in 2014, Scorn is a game developed by Ebb Software that, after a long silence, has reappeared at the last Inside Xbox which took place on May 7. The fact that Scorn was presented at an event dedicated to the Xbox Series X was a surprise since the game was originally scheduled to be released on PC.

But it turns out that Scorn not only will be available on PC but that there will also be a version for the next-generation Xbox console, leaving Xbox One out of the picture. And there is a good reason for this. Ljubomir Peklar, game director of Scorn spoke on this subject during an interview with Gaming Bolt:

“Good performance of the game is important to us. Xbox Series X is a very capable hardware that enables parity with the PC version of the game. We can’t discuss any info regarding PlayStation.”

It seems that Scorn is a fairly ambitious game and quite demanding in terms of performance. Ljubomir Peklar also clarified that the game will run in 4K and 60 fps on the console. The respectful silence about PlayStation leaves us wondering about the possibility of a release on Sony's console. The game has not been announced on PS5 so far and we don't know if this will be the case in the future.

Scorn is a fairly enigmatic game. After being announced in 2014 and after experiencing some ups and downs such as an unsuccessful Kickstarter campaign, the development was finally able to continue. Very little has been revealed about the game, apart from the few trailers released by Ebb Software. Scorn presents itself as a horror FPS inspired by the universes of the artists Zdzisław Beksiński and H. R. Giger, who designed the xenomorph from the Alien films. In the game, the player embodies a skinned humanoid, in a dismal world, which even seems alive, and it's filled with nightmarish creatures.

We don't know yet when Scorn will be released since no launch date has been announced yet.
