PUBG is free all weekend on PC

PUBG is free all weekend on PC

Since its release in early access on Steam in March 2017, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, or PUBG, has created a real tidal wave in the world of video games. The game quickly became very popular, breaking records for simultaneously connected players, but also regarding its sales, with 65 million PUBG copies worldwide, raising it to 5th place in the ranking of the best-selling videogames of all time.

But this was not the only impact caused by PUBG, and in addition to these mind-blowing figures, the game was a pioneer of the Battle Royale genre as we know it today, preceding titles like Fortnite, Battlefield V, or more recently Call of Duty Warzone. After its huge success in PS4,  Xbox One, and PC, PUBG even was exported to mobiles, making the game accessible to a massive number of players.

If for some reason you have been oblivious of all this and you have never played PUBG before, this may be your chance to give it a try. The game is currently playable for free on Steam for a limited time. The offer started yesterday at 7 p.m. CEST and it will end on Monday, June 8 at the same hour. All the content of the game is available; you can play on all the maps, and try all the weapons and vehicles available, only the game store is not accessible during the free trial. All you have to do to take part in this free weekend is going to the PUBG page in Steam and click on the “Play Game” button to start the download.

As it usually happens with this type of offers, if you wish to continue playing after the end of the free period, you will need to obtain the game and all your progress and your rewards will be saved. If you want to buy PUBG at the best price, you can also visit our comparator.
