Gearbox has not stopped releasing content for Borderlands 3 since the game was released in September. Moxxi's Heist of the Handsome Jackpot, Takedown at the Maliwan's Blacksite and seasonal events for Halloween or Christmas are part of the list of contents that players have experienced during the last few months, but as it happened with previous installments in the Borderlands series the developers have much more prepared for us.
Valentine's Day is around the corner and Gearbox has published a new episode of The Borderlands Show where the developers talk about the new event that will take place during the following days. The Broken Hearts Day is a free seasonal event that will allow players to get extra loot and rewards by shooting at heart-shaped targets that will randomly appear while playing Borderlands 3. The event will be up for a whole week starting on February 13 and you will unlock different items depending on the amount of hearts that you destroy.
The new episode of The Borderlands Show has also served to comment on a brand new community letter published by the developers which reveals several features included in the roadmap for Borderlands 3. Among the features listed in the letter, the most important is a level cap modification that will increase the maximum level from 50 to 53. As all Borderlands 3 players know, having three points more to use on the different skill trees can make quite a big difference in terms of the design of different builds for the Vault Hunters allowing for powerful combinations that were impossible previously.
We will probably know more about the changes coming to Borderlands 3 by the end of the month because the game will be present at PAX East, where Gearbox will reveal the second paid expansion for Borderlands 3.
