Crysis Remastered has been confirmed

Crysis Remastered has been confirmed

We revealed a couple of days ago in another article that there was a huge possibility of a new version of the classic first-person shooter Crysis was under development by Crytek and Saber Interactive. It seems that after all the clues that hinted that Crysis Remastered is in the works, the developers have decided to confirm that the game is, indeed, a reality. Crytek has revealed it through a press release that also includes the first teaser available of Crysis Remastered. It's a short video that leaves the fans of the series wanting more.

The original Crysis featured state-of-the-art graphics when it was launched, which allowed it to be used as a point of reference when testing the graphics of other games for quite a few years. Saber Interactive is putting a lot of effort into making Crysis Remastered another true jewel in that aspect by adding all the enhancements and technologies you can think of, including high-quality textures, improved art assets, temporal anti-aliasing, SSDO, SVOGI, state-of-the-art depth fields, enhanced lighting, motion blur, parallax occlusion mapping, particle effects, volumetric fog, software-based ray tracing, screen space reflections. The result is bound to be spectacular but we will have to wait for a bit to know what kind of requirements will be needed to play the game on PC.

The most important thing about the release of Crysis Remastered has not been revealed yet, and most of the fans are dying to know when it will be available. Crytek has confirmed that the game should arrive at some point during the summer but no accurate launch date has been confirmed. Crysis Remastered will launch on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The best thing about the announcement is that it leaves the door open to new versions of Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 that may come in the future, but let's not anticipate things until we see what the new Crysis Remastered has to offer.
