Epic Games Store continues giving away free games every week. What started as a way of gathering the attention of the players about the platform could be considered one of its features now because it started when the store was launched and it has not stopped since then. Epic Games Store has offered quite a few free games so far, and the list includes many games that are not indie or cheap. This is the case right now because this week anyone that visits the store can claim a game from one of the most popular franchises, Assassin's Creed.
Assassin's Creed: Syndicate takes place in London during the Victorian era. The Brotherhood members have been eradicated from the streets of the city and the Templars have spread their influence in the shadow of the industrial revolution. The Fyre twins, Jacob and Evie, have been trained by the Brotherhood since their childhood and now they are deadly assassins sent to London to free it from the control of the Templars. Although Assassin's Creed: Syndicate does not offer many gameplay innovations compared to some other titles in the series, it still offers a good story and quite solid gameplay, delivering exactly what you would expect from an Assassin's Creed game.
But Assassin's Creed: Syndicate is not the only game available for free on Epic Games Store this week. Faeria offers the players a combination of collectible cards and turn-based strategy in a game that will pit players against their opponent in intense battles. You will summon your troops and deploy them in a hexagonal grid that represents a fantasy world. Attacking your opponents with those creatures and casting a variety of spells you will progress through the game by defeating enemies, unlocking more cards for your deck in the process.
Those two games can be claimed for free on Epic Games Store for a week when they will be replaced by Inner Space, a player-driven exploration game.
