The Sims 4 is another installment in the Sims franchise. Like its predecessors, The Sims 4 is also a life simulation video game that was developed by Maxis and The Sims Studio and Electronic Arts was the publisher. The Sims 4 has the same concept as every Sims game out there, the player makes their Sims, and then they control them and make them take part in activities, and even form relationships. The Sims franchise is known for letting the player do whatever they wish to, and The Sims 4 sticks to that, providing nonlinear gameplay with no real goal that you have to fulfill as the player. Create-a-Sim and Build Mode tools went through some changes to allow for more flexibility when players decide to create game content of their own. The new feature in this game is the larger effect of the emotional state on things like social interaction, user interface, and even personality. In the game the players start by creating a Sim character and then controling them and their life to see how it all turns out. Sims can also multitask, which allows for completion of tasks while talking for example. A Sims mood will now also affect gameplay. As in all Sims games, this one also has various challenges for the players, and one of the most exciting ones is the Legacy Challenge, where you as the player create one Sim and then you try to make its family line last for ten generations. The Sims 4 had one major change that wasn't present in other Sims games, and that is the replacement of sliders in Create A Sim by direct mouse drag and pull. This feature allows the player to directly manipulate the facial features of a Sim, and body parts like the abdomen, chest, legs, arms, and even feet.
