Dive headlong into the cyberpunk future in Remember Me, an action adventure game from designer Dontnod Entertainment and published by Capcom. The year is 2084 and the place is Neo Paris. The mega-coporation Memorize, which already has too much power to begin with, has just stripped a young woman named Nilin of all of her memories. Her only choice is to join the underground resistance, known as the Errorists, and fight to regain her past. Working as a memory hunter, Nilin explores the streets of Neo Paris, engaging in both traditional combat and the game’s unique forms of memory sabotage. As Nilin, players can steal and remix the memories of their opponents, adjusting their recollection of the outcomes to suit the needs of the particular situation. But in order to succeed against Memorize, things are going to have to get violent. And Nilin is certainly adept at physical combat as well. Players can explore different styles of melee combat, called Pressens. Some increase raw power, others heal, and others offer further utilities. Players can also create their own physical combos via the in-game Combo Lab. With an engaging, unique, and inventive story set well into the future, this game offers players an original and mysterious story in a thrilling setting, with plenty of mechanics to explore and master. Not just a fun video game to play, Remember Me asks players a number of questions about the future of humanity and technology.
