Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void is the third installment of Blizzard’s real time strategy series Starcraft 2. The trilogy features the story of the Xel’Naga prophecy. It starts with Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty, where you help Jim Raynor to rescue Sarah Kerrigan from the Zergs and recover her human form, freeing her from her previous existence as The Queen of Blades through the use of a Xel’Naga artifact. Jim also manages to thwart the plans of the Dominion forces to assassinate her, but he is left behind and captured by the Dominion. The plot continues in Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm. The Dominion broadcasts the announcement of Raynor’s execution and Sarah tries to recover back her powers to raise a Zerg army and take revenge. In the process she learns that a Xel’Naga entity called Amon is behind the creation of the Zerg race as it is now and that it’s trying to revive, becoming a threat to all the living forms in the galaxy. After learning that Raynor’s death was fake, Sarah executes her vengeance, invading Korhal and both killing Emperor Arcturus Mengsk and saving Jim in the process. The only thing left is to stop Amon. Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void closes the story focusing on the Protoss side of it. You will play as Artanis, leader of the Protoss forces. Embarked on a quest to reunite the Protoss tribes and recover your homeworld from the hands of the Zerg, you discover the existence of Amon and his threat to the galaxy, eventually having to seek alliances to try and stop that ancient evil from destroying the galaxy. On the gameplay side, apart from new units for each of the races, the game offers exciting new multiplayer features, like automated tournaments, an Archon mode where two players control a single base, or cooperative objective-driven missions. Join the Protoss in the ultimate battle to save the galaxy from being destroyed at the hands of the Xel’Naga! For Aiur! Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void is a stand-alone.
