Descend into an ocean of blood and explore its hidden horrors in Iron Lung. In this short, atmospheric, Lovecraftian horror game, you are a convict pressed into a suicidal mission: explore the depths of a blood ocean, which appeared on the moon after some apocalyptic event destroyed almost all life in the galaxy. You must pilot a single-person submarine called the Iron Lung, approach several pre-determined coordinates, and take a snapshot of the anomalies found there.
Of course, the Iron Lung is a tiny, claustrophobic piece of junk with no portholes, and can sprout leaks or catch fire at any moment. You have rudimentary controls. Your senses are limited to within your sub and what you can see through the grainy, low-res camera at the back of your ship. You’ll be lucky to come back in one piece.
But there is worse waiting for you at the bottom of the blood sea. Something enormous and hungry stalks you in the depths, and you may never know it’s there until you bump into its hideous bulk. The tension and paranoia grow as the minutes tick by. What is out there? Can you escape it? How long can you survive the madness of Iron Lung?
