SEGA brings back the Yakuza series with Yakuza: Like a Dragon, a new installment that radically changes many aspects of the gameplay to create a brand new experience. The game abandons the story of Kazuma Kiryu to focus and the Tokyo area to focus on Ichiban Kasuga, a member of the Tojo Clan's Arakawa Family who takes responsibility for a crime that he didn't commit due to an order from his superiors. When he leaves prison eighteen years later nobody in the clan acknowledges him and instead, he is left barely alive in a dirty alley of the Yokohama district of Isezaki Ijincho. He will have to start from scratch and find the real reasons behind his imprisonment.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon is substantially different from its predecessors because the combat system is turn-based and more similar to what you could expect to find in an RPG. Ichiban Kasuga will recruit companions and choose from different "jobs" as he progresses through the game. Each of those jobs grants him different abilities in combat that he will have to combine with those of his companions in order to defeat enemies. Of course, the game also includes plenty of mini-games and side activities, like previous games on the series, and it will let you discover the secrets of the Yokohama underworld in a thrilling adventure.
