Set on the island of Tanegashima, the game follows the tale of Kaito Yashio, a disaffected young man whose high school robotics club is about to get disbanded. The only other member, the reckless club president Akiho Senomiya, is fighting for the club’s survival the only way she knows how: by building a giant robot called a Gunvarrel and obtaining international renown.
However, things change for the duo when Kaito discovers an Augmented Reality note on his PhoneDroid: The “Kimijima Report”. Containing instructions that must be done on various locations on the island, the Report warns of a conspiracy that will impact the entire world. This time, Kaito can’t stay idle. He must travel throughout Tanegashima and use his PhoneDroid to solve this digital mystery—and maybe help with the construction of that giant robot too.
