A masterfully crafted alien landscape awaits to be explored in BEAUTIFUL DESOLATION, an out-of-this-world point-and-click adventure game that’s an homage to games like Fallout 1 and 2, Planescape: Torment, and Gabriel Knight. In an alternate 1970s, a strange alien structure appears over South Africa. Dubbed the Penrose, it provides humanity with advanced technology that is almost indistinguishable from magic. Sensing the story of a lifetime, a journalist named Mark and his brother Don go to the Penrose to investigate, only to be flung forward in time to the distant future. Here they find a devastated Earth, the consequence of using the Penrose’s strange technology. Mark needs to locate the now missing Don in an unfamiliar place filled with grotesque aliens and sentient robots.
Explore a post-apocalyptic South Africa where you must deal with local tribe leaders in order to gain information and safe passage. Fight against environmental hazards, giant scorpions, and murderous robots armed with rocket launchers. Explore a lushly detailed alien world with ruined cities and petrified forests.
