SaGa Scarlet Grace: Ambitions is a classic Japanese role-playing game in which you take control of four different characters through separate scenarios. Urpina, Leonard, Taria, and Balmant have each their own story and abilities, but you can recruit other characters and form a party of heroes that will take on different challenges as you progress through the different storylines. The game features non-linear adventures where you explore a 2D representation of the world. During combats, the scenario changes to a 3D setting where characters take turns attacking and using a variety of skills. The experience system is a bit different from what you are used to seeing in this type of games and it doesn't feature levels. Instead of that, the characters increase their stats and gain abilities based on the ones they used in combat. Many of those skills are tied to specific weapons tho, so you can also strengthen those by using several materials that you can gather during your adventures.
